What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We use them to keep you signed in, to secure your account and, only with your consent, to measure how Homebound is used.

Functional cookies (always active)

These cookies are needed for your account to work and therefore do not require consent. They are only placed when you sign in to Homebound.

• hb_session - links you to your signed-in session. HttpOnly, secure.
• hb_refresh - refreshes your session without signing in again. HttpOnly, secure.
• hb_csrf and hb_csrf_sig - protect your account against attacks from other websites.

Analytics and session replay (optional)

If you agree to analytics we use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to measure how the service is used. Session replay is a separate, optional feature that only records our public home page, with all input fields and text masked, and is kept for at most 30 days.

No analytics event or recording starts until you have explicitly agreed. We do not record email addresses, names, profile answers, search terms or letter text.

Local storage of your choices

Your choice for analytics and session replay is stored in your browser (as a localStorage item) so that we can respect it on your next visit. This is not a cookie and is not sent to our server.

Managing your privacy choices

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time via the privacy settings in your account, or via the privacy settings below this page. Your account, search and applications keep working fully even if you decline analytics and session replay.

We update this cookie notice when the service or the law requires it. The date at the top of this page shows the version in force.
